What are the benefits of using Hedgescape?
Hedgescape is a free secure, private communications & networking platform which allows members to leverage and expand their existing network of contacts in the most effective manner using sophisticated P2P technology. Some of the benefits include:

    Why is Hedgescape an effective networking resource?
    Hedgescape utilizes social networking (friend-of-a-friend) concepts to allow you to invite your trusted friends and contacts to join your personal network, which in turn also gives you access to their personal networks - up to 4 degrees of separation. Based on your efforts and the number of contacts you invite to join your personal network, Hedgescape allows you to potentially grow your contacts in an exponential manner and explore them via a dynamic photo tree - while providing you with secure, encrypted communications tools and simultaneously allowing you a high degree of control on who may access your network. Hedgescape thus allows you to network effectively during the time you are not attending conferences and seminars, complementing your in-person networking efforts while at these events.

    I already have a good personal network of contacts. Why should I use Hedgescape?
    Hedgescape allows members to communicate directly with each other via encrypted instant messaging, private internal messages, and private voicemail - all of which take place directly between 2 members and totally outside of the public-protocol corporate email/phone system. Hedgescape thus offers a secure, totally private means of instant communications via the use of sophisticated P2P (Peer-to-Peer) technology to complement the standard email/phone tools. Hedgescape also allows instant message logging to aid in proper record keeping. You can send private, confidential voice messages/proposals directly to other members outside of your corporate phone system.

    In addition, by adding your private CV/Resumé to your profile, you will be visible only to headhunters and executive recruiters who often conduct discreet searches to fill exclusive career openings. A premium fee must be paid by executive recruiters to access your CV/Resumé, so it will not be publicly visible and thus "accidentally" seen by other members. Even if you are not actively looking for a new job, adding your CV/Resumé to Hedgescape will increase your career opportunities considerably.

    I am raising a new fund. Can Hedgescape help me to market my fund?
    Hedgescape allows you to post a free company/fund profile and makes it available to a highly-selective range of accredited investors.

    Is there any cost to use Hedgescape?
    The Hedgescape software client is totally free to use and allows you to actively network through 4 degrees of separation (record a personal voice greeting, send voice messages, have encrypted instant messaging sessions with your friends/contacts, post personal/company/fund profiles, search members/jobs/events by various basic criteria, ability to post your CV to our private headhunter section, etc.). We also offer an affordable Premium Membership option that allows you full access to the many useful detailed features in the program (ability to turn off banner advertisements, full-featured private voicemail, instant messaging logging capability, search entire Hedgescape member database, search members/funds by detailed criteria, etc).

    I would like to invite some valuable personal contacts to use Hedgescape - however I do not wish to share or disclose my relationship with these individuals to other members (protect my personal network). How can I hide my relationship with these individuals?
    In the options panel, you can choose whether to allow all Hedgescape members to view your network or whether only to allow your trusted 1st-level contacts to view your network. If you have a very valuable contact whom you'd like to invite to use Hedgescape without revealing your relationship with this person to other members, you can also simply ask him/her not to enter your email address when registering and Hedgescape will thus not create a publicly-visible graphical link between your profiles.

    Will my information and email address be made available to other parties?
    No, only we will have access to your profile data - and your privacy is our highest priority. We will never sell or rent our confidential member database.
